    Default Combi programmer and Cheapmod

    Hi guys

Ive just got a combi programmer and a cheapmod from
    http://interesting-devices.com/

Every time I try to program a chip I get the follwing errors.

"unable to write" "unable to verify error"

I am using a new straight through serial cable and a 16V power adapter and also have tried a 9v battery.

    My OS is Windows 98.

    any ideas ?

I have one of these also - is it the one with 2 headers on it or one ? - I have the dual header one - If yours is too ensure your chip is on the correct header on the programmer - you have probally checked this already but just in case.

I havent got a serial cable so I programmed my chip by coping another directly without the PC.

    Cheers
