If you've got an old PC lying around, turn it into a linux firewall, router, gateway machine!

Using IPTables you will be able to create the best firewall

If you want more info on this or if anyone wants I will write a tutorial on how to do it, but ain't writing it if no-ones interested lol

Agnitum Outpost Pro is great but it has some serious problems under Windows XP which is why I'm having to use ZAP at the moment.

Outpost v2 should be out soon though so hopefully that will resolve the WinXP problems.

My Agnitum Outpost Pro run's flawlessly under XP - been using it for well over a year and I'd have to say it's been totally reliable.

Where'd you get the info Speedlock cos I wanna check it out ?

I'm too lazy for that mate, just download Smoothwall - www.smoothwall.org - it's preconfigured and you can't get it wrong

As you say though, works a treat

I must agree with tef Outpost is great, been running for a while now on me (which in its self is a problem) but have had no problems at all with it.

Norton FW running for 2 years now and runs to perfection... System completely stealthed, and can set all sorts of rules/open required ports for spec./ all the usual control aspects, but nicely laid out...
Used to use Tiny Personal FW which was good, but got a little muddled up from time to time.
