Dual Monitor - How?
I've got a Radeon 9000 Pro 128Mb with dual display support. I've got all the latest drivers and last night I tried hooking up another CRT monitor to it (with the DVI/VGA converter). My goal is to be able to play a PC game (Asheron's Call 2 or Morrowind) on one screen while displaying its walkthru on this site, or even to talk to people on AIM as I play. I'm not sure if this is possible, as I tinkered through the settings last night. I could specify what applications opened in a different desktop, but I couldn't display both at once; rather, one desktop at a time was displayed on both screens.
Can someone walk me thru how I would be able to have everything I do on one monitor and then open an application/game so it only appears on the other monitor? Also, how would the input work? If I am using WASD in a game, cliking with a mouse, hitting keys, does it affect the other things on the primary monitor?
As you can see, I'm kind of lost here.
