    Default Arsenals new stadium

i swear that it was first priced at around £217m

then it went up to £300m around xmas

now they are saying it will cost £400m, thats fookin steep. I dont think it matters if AW spend £12m or £50m on transfers now its a bloody drop in the ocean.

well gooners dont expect too many good deals on season tickets

imo there will be a groundshare with spurs, how fookin funny will that be

    No chance....

I for one would not go and I have been going to Spurs for 15 years now... the police and local councils would not allow if for a start and the plans to expand WHL are already going through the works....

I would expect to see a couple of player sales this season to recoup some cash (and wages) to help with the deficite. Im surprised that they are having trouble getting backers for the project.

They are already knocking down the houses to begin building!

the RBOS have already pedged £300m, not being funny here but look at chelsea with around £100m debt largely due to chelsea village (i guess that makes Bates the village idiot) and a few pricey players. They are behind their proposed payback schedule due to a decrease in players value and increase in wages.

Arse are hardly goint to raise £50m thru selling 1 or 2 players without serously damaging their future title chances

Provided it was a joint stadium, (OR Islington Rovers being the tenents of a new Spurs ground ), I can look beyond the whole scum thing.

In terms of ground use, Spurs and Arsenal are never both at home on the same day as it is and a healthly "I hope you rot in hell" hasn't stopped Inter and AC share a ground.

Yes, it would be nice if Spurs had a 60,000 heated seats stadium and I know I'm in the minority here as a Spurs fan but if it means more money (I hate the fact that money needs to be considered) to build a team that can be as good as we would like, then the small matter of sharing would be a bitter pill that can be taken.

Now, Here's hoping ManUre score 4, wipe out the scum's players so Saints have an easy day in May and I can have a peaceful close season

just heard on the radio that all the ashburton grove contracts have been torn up and all the contractors have been ordered off site ASAP (they were doing some prep work).

Source, one of the contractors who phoned in to a show on talk sport

Heard that locals are still putting up opposition, and were due to challenge the decision of the home secretary to authorise planning permission at Ashburton Grove.

Money wise, £150million built the Millenium Stadium with a capacity of 72,500.

Obviously London is more expensive for everything, just hope they havent got the accounts who worked on the Millenium Dome on this one.

It also has alot to do with how much cash will be generated by the sale of luxury apartments built where Highbury is now.
