Box Key & IRD Key

I've just bought a 4000, its in the post.

I've read all of posts, but still a bit unsure!!!!


Can you tell me if i'm on the right track:-

1) Can I get the box key & IRD Key from the card thats coming with the above STB?

2) Can I use the RSTGEN.exe, box key & IRD key to make a Hex file and also use the TW int ep.Hex to write to a Funcard?

Depends on what card is in the post with it (ie Rom 7,10,11), if its a rom10 whether its been A3C'ed, or if the box was deactivated after sub expiry in which case you will probally have a fake bk. The ird no. can be found in the eng menu and reversed.

Yes if you also know the public keys and verify key for your area.

First thing to do however, will be to build a 232 interface to change the netid.

yes you just need ird an bk no verify or public keys needed for this hex

Can I read the card with my Infinity USB Programmer (I know it will write the hex files to a fun card)?
