    Default Newbie Help Please.

Ok I've got me a Xbox!!

I am sure this has been asked a million times but if possible could someone clarify a few things about the Mod scene for me.

I have read and understood the ethos of 'if you need to ask then you don't need the X-Pro, however, I like to keep abreast of new ideas so if I used the Lite would I be limiting myself??

I see there is shortly to be a programmer released for the lite so that would make it more user friendly I suppose, but what about memory size? Do I need the larger capacity of the Pro.

My dilemma is as follows: -

    For The Lite

    Do I need the Pro??
The lite is fully contained in the box.
I'm not keen on having bit's sticking out of the box.
It's £10 cheaper than the Pro.

    For The Pro

    It should be future proof.
It's only £10 dearer than the lite and if I bought the lite I still need to fit 2 switches at about £1.50 each. Making it only £7 dearer.
Lite will still have switches sticking out of the front.

One last question - can I run the Pro without the bit on the back, tuck the cable away and just fit it when I need it (Programming & Xbox Live)

Is it ok to order from Divineo, are they the quickest for shipping?

    Thanks
    Stu.... :-)

Unless your gona write your own software for the xbox and need to run a 512k debug bios i cant see why anyone would need the pro tbh.

In 99% of cases a cheapmod is more than all you would require.

No if your not gona code for xbox kinda pointless.

The lite is fully contained in the box.
    yes

I'm not keen on having bit's sticking out of the box.
    Nor me

It's £10 cheaper than the Pro.
    yeah or more

    It should be future proof.
yes considering the 1.2 now only has a 256k bios

It's only £10 dearer than the lite and if I bought the lite I still need to fit 2 switches at about £1.50 each. Making it only £7 dearer.
You dont have to have the switches, thats optional. and the flash protection switch is actually kinda pointless its not like your gona accidently flash your bios, its a bit like accidently formating one of your drives, you dont need a switch to disable that.

Lite will still have switches sticking out of the front.
You dont have to have both switches, thats optional. else use the back or side or use the DISABLE/ENABLE X2 Via Eject Button mod.

One last question - can I run the Pro without the bit on the back, tuck the cable away and just fit it when I need it (Programming & Xbox Live)
I cannot answer this correctly as I dont have one to hand to test but switch 4 is used to enable/disable the mod. However you could just use a toggle to enable disable the modchip.

well all your questions answered there m8

i was gonna say you dont need the pro, but crow has answered your questions in full detail, so go for the lite.

as for divineo m8, it was a while ago but i ordered an enigmah from them andit came very very quickly, i used a girlfriends credit card and they even rang her to check that it was a legit order, which i thought was cool with all the online fraud.
