Default How does one convert a bin file to an xbox compliant iso file?

I will be installing EvoX into an xbox with only the enigmah chip in two days. To prepare, I'm trying to get as much relevant info as I can. The first step is to of course get EvoX into the box, but the EvoX is currently in bin format.

So how does one convert it to an xbox compliant ISO file such that it can be burned onto a DVD-rw and subsequently installed into the xbox?

    Cheerz.

Grab yourself a copy of Slayers auto installer v2 m8.

Default You can burn the Bin

The Bin can be burnt to a DVRD (or CDR if you are lucky) just as easily as an .iso - if you really must conversion, from .bin to .iso is fiarly trivial as well (search bin2iso).

That said I agree with 4me2 - slayers is the way (unless you get that as a .bin )

if u end up with another bin file m8 you could extract the lot with winiso and burn as a data disc in primodvd

    rite

its just as easy to burn a bin as it is to burn an iso file m8, all i ever use now is alchohol 120%, saying that i have never tried doing an xbox game with it, although i cant see why it wouldnt work.

if u get the bin, do as i said extract it all to a folder, open primodvd
    select new job
    dtat disc
drag and drop all the files from the folder you just extracted the files to
    right click go to options
select UDF up to 128 in filename length, any char, plus 8+3
you will know wot i mean when u see it.

    burn away
    disc should boot no probs

While everyone is on the subject another prog to use is: Stomp Recordnow Max 4.5

Click the "Data" button on the top navbar, now go to the "Edit" menu and select "Recording Options", now a new box appears set the following:

Recording type: select Track at Once (TAO) closed.

File system type: UDF - Up to 128 in filename length, any char., plus 8+3 tree (Bridge)

    Mode: mode1

Select "OK" and then "Add Files and Folders" select all the files and folders required for the game/app insuring that default.xbe is in the root. Give it a "Volume label:" something that is suited eg Halo and click the "Red (dot) button" to start the burn.

The best bit about this method is you now have a cdr/cd-rw/dvd-r/dvd-rw that will work in the XBOX and you will also be able to read the files in a pc cd/dvd drive, just like you would with any other disc.

yep but recordnow is the newer version, Primo I found to be a piece of shit and it didnt recognise my burner . Recordnow now instantly supports all recorders (new ones) without having to fart about installing or downloading other crap.

All of it. Especially the part where creating a DATA disc using PrimoDVD would be readable by the xbox.

section2 is what you need to read in this TUT:

    http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.p...&f=11&t=15130&

however you should take the time to read it all at leisure and use it as a reference point for your first few burns m8.

The 30 day trial versionof RecordNowMax 4.5 you can get from here :
    http://www.stompinc.com/recordnowmax/index.phtml?stp

Give me a shout later on MSN / ICQ and I can help you make it into a full version . Im out most of this afternoon so If Im not online then then Freaky should be able to help you with the latter part.

I have been wishing for REcordnowMAX for so long now but as with other "highly sought after and essential" apps, they make my system crash so I must settle for their "ghetto" versions (e.g. Prassi PrimioDVD) LOL! Some time soon I'm hoping to backup all my stuff and just blast my hd and then reinstall XP and THEN try to install RecordnowMax.

And yea that tutorial is probably the most comprehensive and best one available. Must do much reading...

    Thanks again man.
