Laptop Internet connection

I have transferred my Internet settings from my PC to laptop, but the laptop fails to establish a connection despite using the same number to dial out on as the PC.
Where am I going wrong? My ISP is LineOne, and it is ok on the PC as I am online as I write this message.

what operating system do you use on the laptop
are you sure the modem in the laptop is configured properley
and what errors are you actually getting.

i doubt its anything at all to do with the isp m8, it gonna be the settings on the laptop.

so as i say make sure the modem is setup right

so tell us the errors op sys etc
