Default Best place for PC base units

I need to recommend a system for a friend. Budget is in the £450 range.

I've come up with Micro direct's Gamma for £440

    Specs:

    SERIES GAMMA PC BASE UNIT

    AMD Athlon XP 2200 (266MHz)
    Sound, LAN & modem
    512MB DDR PC2100 RAM
    80 GB 7200rpm ATA100
    48 x 24x 48 CDRW
    16 x DVD
    Gainward 128MB GeForce 4 + TV-Out
    Midi Tower Deluxe ATX

I've had a look at Dabs and e-buyer (don't trust that lot); can anyone suggest other reliable retailers who offer a bit of value?

    Thanks!

I want nothing to do with it & need the cover you get with a retail package.

Build someone a computer & they expect 15 years phone support to come with it!

Dell surpiringly good some great value systems... check their outlet also before you buy from anywhere else. Sometimes the prices can be shockingly low... and you get a better intel chip instead
