    Default help resolve an IP

Guys, I want to find out where this IP is from:

    10.62.96.216

I've done the usual NIC and whois searches, but they tell me nothing. Is there a way to find out even which part of the country or company etc it is assigned to? ANything will help.

    thanks, wadgey.

thanks wtd..that's what I got, but I thought it showing up as being registered to IANA meant the IP was hidden or something.

Its part of private address space 10.0.0.0, you'd be seeing that if its on your local network, or someone isn't doing correct routing connected to your network.

    No,

Anyone can use the 10.x.x.x network for their local net, its not routable on the Internet.
