Can anyone recommend any mailing list management software?

I need some for the next site i'm doing and theres quite a few out there but wondering if anyone has had any experience with any good stuff?

I want php and mysql and multiple list management really.

duno about anyone else but i hate mailing lists, i don't want those spam emails.
Duno why people even bother sending them they just get deleted anyway i mean who reads em?

I got a hotkey set up to permenantly delete ALL spam from my inbox at the press of 1 button (I wish)
