AFAIK there is no law against drinking alcohol on public transport.
Even if there is, I can't see any reasonable person objecting to it unless you are being a pain in the ar$e.

Yeh, you can legally drink on trains, but if you get too rowdy (AS IF!!) then they have the right to kick you off.

A lot of the main line trains have a buffet car where you can buy can buy alcohol actually on the train.

I don't know about trains, but it's illegal to be drunk on a plane, and on planes you can only drink what they serve, NOT what you bring on board, but I aint sure bout trains!

Pissed people always seem to come near me when they're out of it. I had a group of squadies trying to find out who 'Less Than Jake' where for about an hour after i'd seen em in concert in London and after seeing Greenday i had a couple teaching about 7 of us the 'Birds and the Bees'. My friends also been assaulted by have of the AA staff after one of their parties.
Funny as Hell though but i just seem to attract em, lol

maverick_15 I've been down to twickers loads of times on the train you'll have no proclems mate, believe me we get wasted. We take a couple of slabs onto the train & they're fine with that.

To save yourself some cash on the train ticket book in advance, and if you're taking a virgin train you might as well upgrade to 1st class if they still do it (weekends). I have had a few 1st class returns for £35 (stafford > euston). You get loads more room & a snack. You get 3 seats across the carriage instead of 4, so your prop forward mates can spread out in comfort

    Have a great day.
No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...

You can drink on there, but if you get totally p1ssed then normal public ruling applies, as in being drunken disorderly etc.

So have fun but dont get to hammered and p1ss on the seats

Actually, it's illegal to be drunk in ANY public place. This even includes bars, and the barstaff have every right to refuse to serve you and escort you off the premesis. The law is not often enforced tho, specially if the person asking for service is 200lb and bald....

Trust me mate, you'll probably bump into a few people doing the same thing as you.

Loads of people drink on Trains, tubes and buses.

I think the main thing is to have a little common sense...If there are little old ladies or kids around, move to the next carrige...

Last time I went to London on business from Mcr. Picadilly I took loads of Stella for the trip. No-one stopped me drinking it and the price they were charging for one of them 'stubby' cans at the buffet car was extortionate !

I was smashed by the time I got there... a virgin 'customer helper' assisted me to a taxi outside with my luggage !!
