Default Do I really have to disable the talkback?

If I use a funcard on a ntl box with the talkback enabled,
    will it cause problems?

My understanding is the talkback is only used then you order
a PPV event and as a funcard does not support this, why bother
    disabling the talkback?

Could just put the orginal NTL card back in when not watching TV.

Failing that does anyone know if you can get a filter to stop the talkback instead of modding the box.

    TIA.

from my understanding you are using a subbed box. dont do it get another box and disable the talk back.

Hehe, agreed - ntl will want to make an example of everyone who gets caught too, I expect.

Disabling the talkback on all boxes takes under 5 minutes if you have a decent photo to work from, and with all the posts in various forums on the subject, you shouldn't have a problem finding someone willing to give you a hand.

As for filters, some people have reported to success using standard TV boosters. Search through some old posts.

There is also some speculation that even though we think we've cut the talkback, there may still be some slight possibility that ntl know what we're up to. This remains to be seen (although I personally I reckon once the talkback is cut, the box is essentially 'stealth')

Modding a subbed box or leaving a box obtained by, ahem, 'other means' visible is just not worth the risk.

    Cheers,
    sub.
