DF Online Gaming Clan

Has there even been a DF online gaming clan????

There are loads out there for CounterStrike, MOHAA, RTCW, BF1942, Unreal etc so why dont we have one??

I dont know if we have to have our own server or whatever but I just though with so many of us playing online it might be worth a laugh...

Just a thought...

when ut was out there was a clan.....when ut2k3 came out i tryed to start a clan up but no 1 was intertrested depending on how many wanted to play sum 1 on a 512k dsl shud run (about 4-6 ppl normally) but sum of theses 2mb lines from places like by would be better then theres renting 1 which is quite expensive

unless u get like a load of people all chipping in

as ive said in the past.... (LOL) if theres a clan i'll happly join spart from RCTW or BF1942 (dont like um) but cs hl ut2k3 all fine

Well Im not sure about having to run your own server. I for one dont have the resources (or cash) to set one up.

e can have the clan and just play with our details on whatever game server we choose.

We can always use DF to arrange meets on certain servers for certain games......

Something on the lines of

I just dont think that enough people would pitch in to come up with the initial layout and continuing running costs. I think that plenty of people would want to play once it was up and running but it will take that initial outlay to get it started.

If it was to be a DF server then perhaps you could pay for the privalige in the same fashion that you give donations and get access to the VIP area. But this would give you access to the server/console as a clan member.

Just a thought... if not then we can try to set up a virtual Clan as mentioned before without a server or Clan website (other than DF itself if given permission by the MODS/ADMINS).

1 main question is money who would be the broker...the only way i can think of it being safe is if rap paid for the server and we paypal (or nochex ) the money to him but i think hes way to busy to........

website..... that really isnt a problem is it just getting it set up and a domain (could pleed with rap to get http://clan.digital-forums.com set up and pointed some where

im atm setting up a boox with windows 98 se on for no reason..... i might stick a hl server on there (nxt week im getting a router because atm its all networked though 1 pc so it will be a little more stable (oh and im only on 512k dsl but for 4 ppl i supose u could get 6 (me included) it shud be fine

Good points Cam...

Rap could use it to advertise DF and his other business interests by sponsering the website/server.

Sticking HL CS on the server would be cool!!!

Can we ask a MOD to make this a sticky (if they want to run with DF branding) and if anyone is intersted to PM and let me know if they want to pay, but also if they would be willing to pay a sum of cash every couple of months or so for the running. I would say �10 each would be a fair price before working out the finer costs.

We can work out the actual cost of running etc out but I cant see if being a large sum of cash if we have a descent number of members....

And remember this is not limited to one game or genre, I play MOHAA, HL CS, BHD and Vietcong and I would use my clan name on all games(I already do this via playing through GameSpy).

they do gr8 bncs so im guessing there game servers will be okay.... if we went for the start thats only 5 quid if 7 chip in or a quid if 35 chip in

2gig a month i think will be okay but it looks only 3month or annualy 15 quid for an extra gig of band width (3 months is 45 quid)

i'll happly pay a5er a month...... but we have to use it no good 7 of us wasteing 60quid a year each.......me det malt sanj kjun and bonz have had a wkd game of hl on malts server...... people who wanna no wot playing against a pshcopathic camp0r is then watch det play........get in #digital-forums (on efnet) and say hello and we can ave a good old chat about blowing peoples limbs off over our cornflakes lovely

I got loads of server if ya ever wanna come have a game of Counter-strike suprise I dont get alot of Digi forums members on but not sure how many actualy play cs

PS I'm a gaming Admin for 4u-servers might be able to get ya a discount if you was thinking about getting a server but I'd be happy to lend ya one of mine should you wanna see if first before it costing ya all money and finding out no one was intrested

At the moment it looks like HL CS but Im sure we can branch out at a later stage... I think we should find out how many of us would play on a relatively regular basis...

I play quite alot but mainly MOHAA but I enjoy CS also.... worthwhile checking out incognito's website with all the server info.. you can connect to the servers via Gamespy or All Seeing Eye...

TBH CS Is what I have been playing mainly. But I guess all of the 1st person shooters are quite similar.

The only main difference between all these games are the weapons and whether you can lean/lean and shoot or not!!

If you like one you will more than likely enjoy the rest. I have just dl'd Day of Defeat addon for HL to see what that is like....

We should try and arrange a game for one evening next week and see how things go....

Would advise that you dl the maps from incognito's site as they are what we shall be playing....

I can play any day but Tuesday evening...
