Matrix to hard drive problem

A mate with a 60gig HD and who has loaded games already onto it has a problem with the Matrix.He hired it from Blockbuster,loaded it up,ran it,and it just returned to the evox dashboard..Does anyone else know of this problem?
I've done a search but only find people talking about the 'copies' of the game,not when loaded from an original copy.

Not sure if this is what you are doing but, You cant run Matrix from the HDD if its from an original - the file names are over 42 characters, which is OK on DVD, but the Xbox file system on the HDD cannot read over 42 - hence it doenst work.
