analogue chip question

I've got my analogue box 520, and have ordered an Elvis and a pic12c509 chip. I've dowloaded Hexgen 4. Now what do I do? and will all chips and hex's give me the same amount of channels?

I've read loads but am feeling very thick.

Take the number off the barcode and enter it into Hexgen. If no Barcode do a R2 and take the second number from each pair. You must convert any Letters to numbers.(only on the barcode. no letters on R2) PM me and I'll give you these. Choose your box type. Choose the option Auto update. Create Hex. I use Hexgen 3 so 4 might be slightly different Mail me or PM me and I'll talk you through it.
