    Default protection ??

does anyone know of some software i can use that i can backup my games with to stop anyone else copying them for themselves. ive got a lot of backups (350) but the problem is ive just happend to get a few new mates that like to lend them and copy them to sell. i am not against this but why should i pay good money for games for them to get them for free AND MAKE A PROFIT..I DONT WANT TO SELL THEM MYSELF. ive heard alcohol 120% can do this but how and is this true ?will they still play on my ps2 ???/

There was a thread just like this a long time ago.

I understand what you want to do, but u say ur spendin lots of money on games, how? You have 350 BACKUPS, NOT origionals, if you don't want your m8s doin this then simply don't lend them the game!

yep as Domain28 said don't bother lending the games to your friends then.

Personally I don't give a $hit if mates of mine borrow stuff and copy them, I've done it enough times with there $hit so it all works out anyway.

its nice to be nice but not all the time

my backups are just a nice way of saying ive got a shit load of copys with only 4 originals..the issue is they dont want to go halves to buy them with me just lend them to copy for free / if they bought any i could lend then there is no problem...its not some die hard copy protection that sony would be interested in that i need just something basic that only one burning software will copy and not another unless you use the same software aswell. i know this is possible and quite sure alcohol can do it but not 100% . i to have seen threads on this subject in the past but cant find them anymore.nevermind maybe someone will program something like this..it must be in demand

I think the protection you are after is called:

    Stopbeingspineless V1.2

Once you have installed it, it will enable you to tell your so called friends to f*ck off and buy games for themselves or contribute to what you pay...

They will sharp get the message then... or failing that PM me and i'll have a copy of each of your games at your expense and you can call me your friend...

    Crossman.

Just scratch the disc so it will be hard for the PC to read ! I've lost count of the amount of scratch/dodgy discs I've had trouble trying to read ! *L*

Alternatively, have a word with your mates about it instead of trying to resort to such actions !

seen this same story on forums endless times, ALWAYS boils down to pirate wanting to stop other pirates using his backups and i have no doubt its the same story here, if you dont want your tight fisted mates copying your warez, dont lend em any! simple.

your getting stuff for next to nothing, be prepared to share the stuff for next to nothing, thats how things work.

fair enough lads i cant argue with that ? some of my disks are getting damaged but who do you blame when they are passing them round to each other ? i sometimes dont get them back for about a month, i will have to tell them to replace them if damaged ?:$:

Why not lend em a copy and u keep hold of yours ?

Make them supply the blanks and copy it while u turn away ?
