I was one of the PS2 beta testers.

I got Twisted Metal Black posted to me for free by Sony, and I still havent even opened it. What is the game actually about???

I wonder if the version they posted me still works. I know the old Socom beta disk doesn't, but hey they gave me a free coopy of the full game.

I've got the online kit too. Playing SOCOM mostly. Twisted metal isn't my cup of tea really.

Hardware Online Arena (fighting with tanks and jeeps) will be out in a couple of months and that looks great. Less tactics invloved than socom, just pure arcade blasting fun.

Also playing Planetside on the PC now. too many games.

he's asking whether the PS2 online system checks for modified ps2's like the xbox live does.

I.e. modified xbox's are banned from xbox live pretty damn quickly.

I dont know why I aint played it, just aint had the time probably. I actually got bored of SOCOM pretty quick aswell, I haven't played that for months, but hey I may just pick it all up again.

The only game thats kept my Attention lately is Zelda, Metroid Prime I havent even taken out of its box. I have no idea why I waste all this money on games and have no time to play them???

Oh yeah, and I ahve no idea about the question regarding whether THOSE consoles work with PS2 online gaming. My PS2 is untouched, and I have had it 3 years with no probs, therefore I think I will kepp it that way.

i completed zelda and then re did it in 10hours up to before the 2nd dungeon as in the 2nd one where u have to escort the guy/gal

Hi,

Yes "backups" will play online with no prob, I have the US network adapter and a PS2 with "something" added to it and have played my backups online with NO PROBLEM WHAT SO EVER!

i just thought i would add that the USA version of SOCOM uses different servers to the european one.

So if you have a US copy of SOCOM you will be stuck playing against other americans.
