    Default Wireless Networking

    Can anyone recommend any equipment for a wireless network. The only thing it needs to have is 54.g . Any links or prices would be handy.

    cheers

    I can supply you with any wireless equipment, but I aint advertising anything here.

    PS why does it need to be 54g ?

    Are you sure you want 54g as this cannot yet be used outside the home/office, only inside. As well as this, it has been proven that it very rarely runs at 54Mbps.

    I do equipment that runs at 22Mbps, but have recieved the new firmware that allows it to run at 44Mbps, whilst still using the same power levels.

    pm me for prices.

    By virtue of the fact that you have just said you can supply, you are already advertising
    Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
    Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
    Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
    Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

    It does'nt get much clearer than that

    cant see the prob myself, no web address, no advert (as such) and was answering a plea for help... would it be better if he said "go to www.dabs.com" (who are not a member of DF) but you would deem allowable. He's a member of D-F and can help, possibly cheaply. Its only the same as me saying "I got xbox bits i can sell you" or you saying "I got a 5861 router for sale"

    if he did it over and over then fair enuf, but as far as i can see he hasnt

    let him speak (IMHO)

    the new wireless stuff from linksys covers all 3 bands should be avail from either dabs or ebuyer its baseband mac chip covers all 3 standards depending on your house compostion wireless gear can have shitty performance. i work as a network engineer and performance can be quite poor at times recently i have strated using never wire 14s from phonex these transmit the data through your household wiring speed is 14mbs but penetration issues aint a prob and in 3 phase area you put one on each phase then into a hub to allow connectiong across all phases

    they are avail in the uk from http://www.lateralnetworks.com/neverwire14.html
