if u dont have a virus checker you can always goto
    http://housecall.antivirus.com
trend offer a free scanning service and unlike most of the online ones this one works even when the comp is infected with the like of klez and bugbear..ident the virus if any and search symantecs site as they have cleaning tools for most of the common virrii download the tool restart the machine in safe mode and clean.
Only exception is with xp or me if the virus has hooked the sytem restore then u have to disable this enter safe mode and run the tool.

I have Norton Antivirus 2003 - and always keep virus definitions upto date. I just did a system scan and no viruses came up

Does that mean theres no viruses - or just that nortons missed it/didn't detect it?

chances of norton missing a virus these days are pretty slim but i dont think it copes with the full range of trojans out there..some of them are capable of stealing details from comp and norton will miss them..

Thanks m8. Looks like thats what it was/is - yet i did another system scan (with updated Definitions) - then a scan with the download from symantec, yet found nothing

Very strange and is making me paranoid. Feels like theres something there, but i can't find it

I have norton anti virus and as I was using my pc it came up with a message that I have HTML Redlof.A virus and NAV couldn't get into that specific file (access denied) to disifect it. I did a manual scan it came up with the message of no virus found. I then installed F-Secure and did a scan it didn't find any virus....I then installed Trojan Remover 6.0.1 and did a scan.....nothing....Is there a virus there??
