    Default TV on my laptop?

any ideas how to do it lads?

I want it so I can record sounds from the tv. I have a circular port on the back of my lappy with a pic of a TV above it, so i presume it can be done.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi M8 !

The circular port is TV out... you plug the lappy into a tv's video in using phono plugs and you can view the laptop output on the tv screen.

You wan't to go the other way round !!

If you only want to record sound... your laptop should have a line in for the sound card.. usually a 3.5mm jack plug, your TV should have sound outputs.. usually a red & white phono plugs.

You need a cable assuming you have all these inputs/outputs you need a stereo 3.5mm jack to twin phono lead, plug it in and you'll be able to record the sound as a .wav with windows sound recorder.

If you want the pictures as well buy a USB tv device from such as the one from haupage !
