Web hosting enquiries

mr bro has a site ready to upload, but needs decent hosting with no adds and decent bandwidth etc.

also, a proper .com name would help...

any recommendations??

yeah im lookin for the same kind of thing either .co.uk or .com , not fussy about webspace got to be cheap though

Alright guys

A lot of the hosting companies offer the domain name in with their package. Personally, i get my domain names from www.ukreg.com the reason being, if i want to change hosts, there are no hassles over moving the name (but others on here may disagree)

As for hosting, i've been using tollon.net, and they have got really bad, so i'm also lokoing for a new host. It depends on what your site needs as to what hosting you want to look at (does it require support for asp, php etc. Do you want to use databases?)

http://www.cheapukhosting.co.uk/ take a look. this isn't a recommendation, but it's somewhere to start and they are cheap

Sup guys ,
thanks for all the help, after a discussion with dunno, det and cam i went and got a domain name from www.123-reg.com, then i got a dns addy from dyndns.org and direct update ,waited 24 hours for my domain name to be ready and then with a SHITLOAD OF HELP FROM DUNNO

(thanks a lot) i got my website running off ma pc (wip) working, plenty of stuff on there but its on 56k, (lol top speed of 3k) not to worry cause im gettin broadband sooon,
