    Default redhat 9??? Shrike????

    Might be in the wrong forum, but i dont know where to put it.

    anyway, was just browsing my computer and i came across a folder called redhat 9, and it contains 3 ISO images named as SHRIKE.now i aint got a clue on what these things are. ive tried burning them in nero as 'burn image' but when i enter the cd its blank .

    anyway, what iam wanting to find out is what SHRIKE is.

    Thats the name of the redhat 9 (linux) release.

    well the three ISO images ive got are about 690mb in all each.

    is it worth keeping them, coz i aint got a clue about them.

    well unless ur looking to learn how to use linux as an operating sys then its prolly just a waste of a couple of gigs... may as well try and burn the discs incase u ever wanna use em. other than that.. waste of space.

    fyi, rh9 is called shrike, rh8 was called psyche - each release has a codename.
