Realtime viewing and listening on desktop

I wasnt sure what section to put this in so if it needs moving do so thanks...

OK I was wondering if there is any such device / software that allows realtime viewing of video (through a capture card / firewire port) to be displayed on the windows desktop / full screen and to also allow realtime sound input to be played via pc speakers...

My problem is i've got my creative surround set up on my pc now (thanks to biggy7) and want to play my seperates through the same speakers (thus saving space for and power of seperate amp for cd/dvd/tape players).

The reason I want to view video realtime on my pc screens is because a have two 17" tfts now and want to use both as one screen and then i wont need to use my tv for video and dvd seperates....

If there are any such products / software i'll be greatly helpful...

Just about any video capture card should sort you out. We used a happauge tv tuner in the office whilst the world cup was going on and put it on a nice big projector - we even managed to stream it to peoples PCs using Windows Media Server!

You should be able to pick up a tuner card for very little money if you look around - just make sure it has phono connectors for video and you should be okay!
