I personally don't think that there are any better writers out there. Especially for the price, but the new Sony's are supposed to be good (but way too dear for me)

I have a sony a10 the drive is good but it is picky with media, and I have worked it out not to buy princo dye disks I tried them cos the 4x were really cheap compared to the ritek 4x. but it burns perfectly at 4x on all ritek 4x disks I have tried the burns to the princo disks about 1/2 failed a 4x and 1/3 failed at 2x. which means they work out only slightly cheaper than ritek.

My mate has a Pioneer 105/a5 not sure which but he didnt have the same problems with the princo disks i gave him.

The new 106 is supposd to be shit hot. but I have had no personal accounts on this.

I'm new to DVD writers, picked up a 106 sub £130, stucj it in and absolutely no problems at all. I'm using DVD shrink and Stomp with Ritek G04s and Bulkpaq Orange 4x - not a single coaster so far!
