Do you have a turbonet card installed in your TiVo?

Just wanted to get a quick feel for how many people actually mod their TiVos and was wondering how many people have installed a turbonet card and maybe a brief description of what they use it for. I personally have TiVoweb installed and use TServer for video extraction (Archiving purposes)

Yep, have the Turbonet card, use it to get the listings via the Internet and also for extraction and tivoweb, can check out my tivo and program a recording remotely via the web.

It's also good fun to remotely annoy people who are home during the day by changing the channels via the TiVoWeb hehe

very. I use tytool to extract the mpg and then Dazzle DVD Factory for producing a nice DVD with menus. Took no time at all to do.

(Of course you need to run a piece of software on the TiVo but that's really easy)

inside the box is a mother board, PSU and a HDD. The motherboard has one slot capable of taking a network card.

the CPU is a powerPC chip. it runs a form of linux

Ditto on the Turbonet card... had one installed since about 2 weeks after picking up my Tivo (remember the Dixons £99 deal ?)

I use it for video extraction and my own guide data (semi-working - not a stable replacement for a real subscription)

    Cheers,
    sub.
