i am a respected member of a few forums and it seems to me that when people make mistakes, usually they are told politely about it. HERE on DF you get quite rude remarks from the admin, then all the other arseholes jump on the bandwaggon.I have read numerous posts in the past to prove my point too.

After my first post which i admit i made a mistake a simply, 'wrong place m8' would have done.
    ooops!

marcode was just pointing out mate the rules of d/f/, nothign rude about that he as got a job to do on the board and so if something is out of place then its got to be put right.

If you are well respected on other forums, then surely you have your own rules as to what is being sold etc on there

    1) if you find a rude post by admin then feel free to report it however i'm the first member of admin to reply in this thread

    2) if you bothered, as a "well respected" member to read the forum rules for the Buy, Sell & Trade forum you would see that all posts are moderated, on other hands your posts simply will not appear if they break the forum rules, i'm assuming that you had read those rules before posting like any other member is expected to?

    3) if your post doesnt break forum rules it will appear once its been checked by one of the moderators, as you will, i'm sure, have read this is just something we do to try to protect our members from people joining up just to flog off dodgey stuff or to try to weed out the known rippers or those we feel are using the forums instead of ebay or another site (ie those trading).

however if you make a post that breaks forum rules or is in the wrong place, chances are that it will end up in the Hall Of Shame, where everyone can see what an arse you have been and mild flaming is allowed, we have all been here (even the boss) so you arent unique i assure you, however most people take it as the bit of fun it is intended to be, its only the ones who get stroppy about it that getting notes from admin.
