Deadly Virus

Just got an email from someone guys, talkiin about a virus called WTC (world trade center) it comes from someone you know so you think its ok to open it.

I would assume it's a hoax - it formats your C: drive and THEN removes all your .dll files??

As long as you keep your anti virus software up to date there's no need to worry about thing like this, my antivirus has always picked up viruses and stops me from downloading them from the server (via outlook), so I just log onto the server (via IE) and delete it.

It's a hoax. Basically any message like this that tells you to 'forward this to all your friends etc' is rubbish. All they do is clog up servers and mailboxs with piles of these messages, which is normally their purpose in the first place. There's numerous different versions doing the rounds and they often include little snippets like 'just announced by Microsoft', like yeah since when does Microsoft announce new viruses........

So don't worry about it.

beleive it or not, in all the years ive been using the internet ive never seen a hoax like this before.

howww weird is that, thats why i didnt know it WAS a hoax, but i wont worrry now next time i see one, so thanks again.
