Im not familiar with your chip but Id guess at one of two things have happend:
1. Your bios are corrupt and you need to reflash them ( If thats possible with your chip)
2. You have a bad solder joint or a cable has come off inside so check all solder points .

unfortunately, if your bios is corrupt, you'll need another chip to boot it with first , then hot swap your chip, and flash your corrupt one.
thats what I normally do if my m8s have tried to flash the bios themselves and cocked it up.
I agree with checking the solder points, especially make sure the d0 connection hasnt come off, otherwise resolder all solder joints
hmm not heard of this chip but, if D0 had come off then I'd imagine it would boot the original bios (he hasn't said if the drive has been replaced). so I'd say it might need re-programming.

Good luck mate.
i dont know about that chip but my x2 wouldnt boot the M$ when i unplugged the chip because i still had the srew wire in, u know the one that u put under the screw and screw it down.Originally posted by skel28

so maybe thats why it didnt boot the ms bios m8, not sure if it same with that chip

Thankyou all for your help.
I will try and re-Flash the Chip via the hot swap method. Although i don't know if im supost to soilder the chip in juring this process. I Also i do have A New HDD in my box WD120 but i don't see how that changes anything.
PS And dose anyone know if there is a way i can install a switch to the chip.
Don't worry i found out about the switch. Can shed some more light on the situation here's the link to the AppleX's web site

looking at the picture it seems appleX is another name for LPC mod V2. If youve put in a new HD make sure its locked.

That's the other way round mate, you still had D0 connected and no chip, that's why that wouldn't boot. If you have an lpc device and if D0 is not pulled low then the onboard rom boots and if D0 is low then your lpc device boots (it's probably much more technical than that so please don't flame me!!)Originally posted by freaky
