reciever help

i'm currently considering buying an new digital receiver but as i haven't been into the satellite scene since the good old d2 mac days i was hoping someone could advise me on which receiver to buy.i intend to keep it non motorised and probably aimed at the hotbird sats.any help would be much appreciated

definately with an embedded cam as i intend to program my own cards.

Ok,I prefer Samsung DSR 9500 EM VIA (2 embedded

cam>Viaccess) or DSR 9500 EM VIA "patched"

(2 embedded cam>Via,Seca,CNX,Nagra)

does the patched receivers work with most of the european encryption methods and can they work with original cards as well as the funcards etc or would i be better getting one like the technomate with an inbuilt magic module? thanks for your help

Hi

Yes it works with most of the european encryption,and works

with conax official & Seca official card but don`t know if it work

with Via & Nagra official card.

ps-Technomate is a good & well known Receiver too.
