    Data Recovery Software

    My hard drive has crashed.
Ive got my pc up and running again with a new hard drive in it, but I really need to get some files off my old drive.
There is months of work on there !!!!
( its a bit late now to realise the importance of backing up huh ! )

Ive tried to access the drive through normal means, but cant.
So I tried downloading a free demo of some data recovery software ( Stellar Phoenix NTFS &FAT32). This program managed to scan the drive and read all the files, it displayed them all on the screen, so they are definitaly still there, however it is only a demo version and it wont allow me actually recover the files to my other drive.
Can anyone recommend / email me a fully working data recovery program please ??

My new drive is running in NTFS ( Windows XP ) My old drive was in FAT32, so it would need to be a recovery program suitable for FAT32.

If you can help me, PM me and I will give you my email address.

A suitable program may be EasyRecovery Pro 6.03 by OnTrack.

Very expensive, but if the work is valuable, a worth while purchase.

They have a demo on the site which would tell you if the program can save your skin, thus preventing you from buying it only to find out it can't help you.

Yeah Easy recovery pro is the dogs bolox I have used it to recover loads but you need to remember not to install it on the drive you are trying to get the data off.

It will recover deleted files, raw data and format recoverythere is also an advanced recovery option which as far as i can see as long as windows can see the drive in device manager, it can recover files from it. there are even boot disk options. if the drive works and isnt knackerd or bios isnt detecting it it should do the job.

Im sure you will be able to find a fully fuctional version of it on the web (I did and found it so good i bought it. now that desnt happen to many times)

Easy recovery pro 6.04 is the latest and a single user licence is £329.00

I got a "trial" copy from Direct connect

If i have broken any rules with this message please remove it and not me sorry

I sent a couple of the fujitsu failures to ontrack. these could not even be recognised by the bios, ontrack recovered 7 cds worth of data. a grand a shot wasn't cheap but when someone wants the data bad enough......

A m8 of mine has had a HDD crash on him and was told of a place in Bolton that recovers the data for £15.

I'll find out when I see him.

ontrack are useless at recovering any data. I must of tried 17 of these and the only one, easy to use etc was the NTFS GetbackData.
