Downgrade to CR1 Query

Hi, can someone tell me If its possible to downgrade a 4001nc box to CR1 if so using which NETID?

Also if a Cable box has CR2 or CR3 software on it - Does the funcard work and do i get PPV?

Also is it wise to plug a NTL cable box into a exisiting line without the mod done or a CARD inserted - do NTL check on this?

And one final question, iHow many have learned the art of Atmel removing, and replacing - and is it difficult to learn considering I have 5 4001 boxes all needing atmel reading?

Any help on thye above would be great

The netid was 41047.
however people have been unable to downgrade their software to CR1 latetly.

You will get PPV with a FC on all software thats pre CR3.

Speaking of whick can anyone hook me up with the atmel roms for a TW area for a 1000 series box.

cr1 back working using 41047. Did 3 this am no probs

Hi can someone tell me how i downgrade my 4001nc box, im having problems, currently with libdebug i do the following

Run Libdebug on PC
Run 4000.cfg - with NETID set yo 41047 (Wembley)
Wait a few secs.
Boot Cable box (hold ch up and ch down) then plug power in
Wait for Receiver Tests initalised in libdebug
Click erase sram
click set networkd id NTL
Click set NEtwork id 41047
Exit Libdebug.
Power off box and back into engineers menu
the NEtid is set to . . . . .
however plug it into mainstream and it goes to 00012

am i doing something wrong?

Just tried a 1000 box on CR3,

Wouldn't Downgrade using 41047
So i tried a force update '1111' & it reset back to C & W software
but now it wont update
& neither can i gain access to engineers menu to change the net id back

Only can use power button to enter codes or i get a blue C & W Screen saying please wait whilst we update

Tried using '4321' but it cant lock to any freq or net id and keeps scrolling different details on the tv screen

Any Ideas?

whatever you you just DONT pull the red jmper.

here is what i do
let box update to cr3 or force update to latest frimware.
then make sure you can talk to it in libby.
then pull red jumper (wait 10 secs)
the replace it
boot box up into libby.
set net id to 41047
then plug back into stream and do a forced update.
this will bring it back down to cr1.
now back tyo libby and set netid to your area.
then do the box mod to stop update.
