Pioneer 104 going mad

Hey folks!

I got a weird problem with my system (XP pro, P4 2,53GHz).

Like every ten minutes an application (I have no clue what it could be) seems to try to access my DVD writer (Pioneer 104), with no DVD or DVD-R inserted, then my HDD LED goes mad for a while and then it's over again.
As for my PC doing that, I have no burning tool running, neither do I access any drive at all!!!

What might be wrong there?

BTW: I checked my system for trojans and viriii lately and I didn't find any infected files.

have u updated the firmware for your 104 i heard its very importent goto pioneer site and update the firmware then you know its not that then reply if you still got problem.
