WILLEM Query.....not getting ID but reading ok

I am tryin to read the chips from a box one IDs ok and I got it no probs. The other just wont ID but I READ it anyway and it gives me a numer from which I am getting the boxkey and IRD. Iread it twice and get the same number so it seems ok. What I want to know is. Does this happen sometimes that a chip wont ID and can I assume this reading is ok.

keep reseating chip in adapter untill it ids
