    Default Fuel blockades

Fuel blockades due to the price of petrol / diesel going up again......

    will it happen ??

    would you join them??

if you vote YES or NO please give your reasons

Me personally I think its a total waste of time, this and any Government are stubborn.

The motorist will pay either way why ? cos we are stupid!!!!!

some of the answers given last time by most car owners
(I need to get to work) or Yes I will pay extra tax on fuel duty to help the NHS and to open more hospitals

Just look at the last time the fuel blockades happened I was there at stanlow shell refinery in ellesmere port along side a few other and to boot (Brindley Williams the welsh farmer and his cattle) he and his crew
shit out because he was getting shit from the police and the locals were he lives.
Now he has gone into politics (mmmmmmm wonder why)??????????

    anyway what will you do???????????

I'll do fook all mate except for carry on as normal.

Petrol goes up less than 2p & people go nuts. National Insurance on the other hand goes up 1% & people do fook all. The NI hike wiped out my meagre pay rise before I even received it. [/soapbox]

I for one think that the government take the piss out of the motorist.
They provide most with no other option but to use their cars for daily duties due to the mess of the public transport system.
They also take the piss with the stealth tax using speed scameras.
This debate could go on and on, but at the end of the day they will do nothing but rob us blind because they can.
The motorist will always be an easy target for taxes and the government know it.

But hey at least they are giving asylum seekers free cars to save on taxi costs though.

    Here's a for instance -

I live 21 miles from where I work. I also work shifts (nights) & drive to work. I leave my house at 10 to nine at night & get to work at twenty past if I drive steadily.

If I was using public transport I'd have to get the 20 past 7 bus from the bottom of my road to the nearby city. Then I'd have to get a train to the station nearest to where I work (about a mile away) and walk the rest or catch a bus if there is one. I dunno about the return journey. Let's just say it's the same routine in reverse.

Who in their right mind would do that instead of drive for 1/2 an hour..? It looks to me like an extra 3 hours of travelling a day (well, I only work 4 shifts I spose).

I'll pay whatever it costs to drive to work, simple as that. Most other people would too. I'm lucky that I can share lifts with my mate in the nearby city.
