Stars in gang rape probe

EIGHT Premiership soccer stars are at the centre of a probe into the alleged gang rape of a 17-year-old girl.
She told police she consented to sex with one of the players in a five-star London hotel room over the weekend.
But she claims seven others then joined in and forced themselves on her.
The seven all play for the same club and include at least one international and Several other household names.
The other star � with whom the girl was a willing partner � is with a different team.
Yesterday the teenager underwent medical examinations at a rape counselling suite as a major investigation was launched.
She reported the astonishing allegations to a central London police station.
Her initial account is being studied and a full interview will be carried out later this week.
Detectives from a specialist unit, which targets sex offenders, are investigating.
A woman officer will coax details from the girl.
Meanwhile, cops carried out forensic tests yesterday at the hotel where she says she was raped.
A decision will be taken later on whether to arrest the soccer suspects.
The case will cause shockwaves throughout the football world.
The Sun cannot name the stars involved for legal reasons.
But a source said: �They are instantly recognisable to every football fan.
�What the girl says happened to her is brutal and humiliating.�
The accusations include allegations that an unnatural sex act was performed on the teenager.
The source added: �If it was proved against anyone, they would go to prison for a long time.
�The girl turned up at a police station with a male friend to report it.
�She is terribly upset by what happened.
�She said she was too ashamed to tell her mother.�
The girl has been offered counselling and will undergo an HIV test.

Anyone know which team or which players?

Some people think it could be the Newcastle team cos they were down in London on Friday playing Arsenal.

I cant see it being anyone who was playing on sunday, and it was probably either a london team or someone who was in london. What time did newcastle play on friday? Unless it was l8 they would probably have gone home

The games in London at the w/end were:

Arsenal v Newcastle (fri)
Chelsea v Villa (sat)
Charlton v Liverpool (sun)

The Arse v Newc match was a friday nighter, good chance they may have stayed at a hotel on the fri night.

Someone on another forum reckons he has a mate who works at News International (The Sun - News of The World and The Times and FT) and he says that its **************************************.

Strange that an Arse player and a Charlton player share a surname I am hearing both names mentioned and just about any c**t who plays for Newcastle (with the exception of Shearer)

Yes, apparantly shearer was hoovering in his hotel room.

Anyways, I have heard again from the lad who has a mate who works for the news and he said his mate was winding him up cos he is an arse fan, so its not really **********, but *********, the teenager from Chelsea who is currently on loan at Charlton.

Which I guess is what digidump was on about?

its all speculation, trying to work out when it happened, who was in town etc etc.

im sure we will find out soon enough, if theyre guilty they should be sent down for a long time, if not the accuser should be sent down for a long time.

at this point (considering the main source of the news) im going to pass it off as tabloid filth, only time will tell.

I agree that this should be approached with an open mind but surely that applies to both parties. If what she alleges is true then she has suffered a horrendous experience, surely you should wait for all the facts to emerge before even suggesting she is a 'dirty slag'.

Something else VERY interesting is that I got a text earlier on, a football alert on my phone saying "newcastle were quick to quash rumours that Sir Bobby Robson was about to resign over the start Newcastle have made to the season" Welll now has Sir Bob seen whats coming and thought "bugger this im out while I still got a reputation" or what? I think this could very well be linked!!!
