There was contact, maybe he went over a bit too easily, but that seems to be most of what european football is all about, there could be a good debate over wether or not it should have been a penalty, however you seem to have missed the fact that the keeper was a yard off his line, which was a clear cut FACT.
But i dont care, we played a great game of football, and got a well deserved result, looking forward to some more excellent matches. :thumbs

Celtic were a class apart in the 2nd half and the scoreline flattered Lyon tbh.
In the 1st half they played some nice passing football but they never really made any clear cut chances for themselves and we coped with it without any major problems.
The 2nd half was a completely different story as Celtic picked Lyon off and eventually outclassed their midfield.
After the 1st goal went in you could see that they were rattled and there for the taking. Remember, this is the French champions were talking about here - not some pish team like Partick Thistle and Celtic deserve all the credit for tonights performance.
Oh, and Tam9 - I think that we established on here a long time ago that you were a hun so your post above is about as useless as Diablos' dick as he still thinks that hard-ons are for pissing over high walls.

I didnt see most of the first half but watched the second. No I'm not a closet Celtic fan thats just my observation everytime I watch Celtic in europe, what oneil gets out of what he's got is unbelieveable. While if I watch Rangers I get the impression that they play in a league with one other team, sorry tam m8 just the way I see it

I think even the most hardened anti-SPL critics on here will admit that Henrik Larsson is a class player.
He has nothing else to prove to anyone,with his scoring record and performances domestically,in Europe and on the international stage.
Sure he plays in the SPL,but it is the mark of the man,the loyalty he has shown to one football club is incredible.
It was a penalty,and it was saved(illegally) but does it matter.
Celtic got a terrific result,and deserved it.
