Default help with connecting second box plz

ok guys got myself a second box that i was gonna open up , got 1 on the network downstairs along with cable modem but was unsure how to rig up second box.

Do i just cut the feed to the box downstairs and run standard rf ariel cable upstairs to second with 3 way splitter or are there specific parts that should be used for this, if there is can anyone let me know which parts that i would need, plus was gonna put one of those filters from e-bay onto line to second box as an extra saftey feature will this affect the first box or modem in any way....

    thats about it

yeah that will work if youve got cable and broadband u should already have a 2 way splitter on so change that 2 a 3..otherwise your modem is run off a digital box if so u only need a 2 way spliter m8

seems to be easier to split the feed in the box on the outside as you can input to anywhere in your house then. Buy a decent 3 way splitter (not from £1 shop) and some decent sat coax and it should be fine.
    ooops!

I would split from inside unless you can get an isolator (white wall mounted box) from a friendly cable guy. although it will work without 1 it may cause you future problems.
