Touch screen monitors

I hope this is the best place to post this, as fruit machine engineers probably visit this section .......
I am trying to prototype a new arcade machine and basically i wont to know if i run the program from my laptop is there any way that i can connect an 'touch' screen monitor from an old arcade machine to my laptop.(As a cheaper alternative)
Any help advice or links to arcade engineers forums is greatly appreciated.

I used to work for a company that provided Barcrest with PC's to sit in the slot machines and were were once asked to provide the with a load of 15.1" LCF touch screens so we sent them 1 to test it out and see if it was sutable. they returned it saying yes but they wanted them stripping down, no power supply caseing or anything. £800 monitor and we took them apart, lol.

I expect that the machine you have will be in a similar state without the caseing and they had live wires in places you didnt realy want them so be carefull but it should work. all you need it a power transformer which the arcade machine should have inside just wire your laptops monitor out to the screens input.
