Fireman, allows you to link your DVD player to your video recorder. Stick your video on AV channel press record and hey presto.......... lovely copies of DVDs (without any screen flicker colour distortion etc)

On a related note, does anyone know the differences between the 1002 and the 1002W and whether it's worth changing?

    Cheers,

    Thats Macrovision.
Macrovision is used to stop you from copying your DVD's to videotape.
Obviously, with it removed, you can copy your DVD's to videotape.
