Is it chipped?

Is there any way of telling if a xbox is chipped without opening it? :nowords:
I have just been given an xbox and want to know if it is chipped or not.
(i am totaly new to this consol stuff and dont have a clue!!)
My mate who gave me it go it from this lad who moved abroad, no games or anything with it, so i went and got fifa to see if it works and it worked fine.
looks brand new.
Any help please?

assuming the fifa u got was a copy then its either chipped or the onboard bios has been flashed.

No, the fifa i got was the original just to see if the box worked.
Dont know anyone who has any copied xbox games to try mate.
I guess there is no way of telling then, without a game to try?

yep, turn the box upside down and have a look at the stickers, if they look like they have been peeled to one side at any corners, then it ptob has been opened, other way to check is under the rubber pads at each corner of the pad, under them there are sien screws, whick are covered by a film, if the film has ben broke to gain access to the screws then it prob has been opened

Looks like it hasnt been chipped then,all the stickers are ok.

yep if teh stickers had creases in them then either a) was chipped or b) was chipped and taken out or c) just opened for the sake of it
