If there's no one seeding then ur bolloxed, you could try asking on the site you got the torrent from, if somebody can reseed the torrent for you
Sorted it, I deleted the torrent file and got it back from the site, and it got the rest of the missing part.
Wrong smilie. oops.
Yeah mate, I appreciate that, which was why I said I wasn't having a pop. You initially didn't really go into the virtues of Azureus, so I posted what I saw as the benefits of ABC and asked for you to do the same. I agree, not much discussion goes on about the clients people use, and I too was only trying to get some discussion going.Originally Posted by marcode

As I said, I am open to learning from more experienced users. I will give AZ a go when I get a moment.
I'm not an experienced BT user as you know by the couple of questions I've asked in here, in fact I've only been doing it for a couple of days.
I like Azerius, nice and simple to set up and use. I haven't tried any others and until I get a problem with it, I don't think I'll try any other client.
The only thing is I need a new bigger hard drive.
Crap, I hate that laughing smilie I always confuse it with the original vb big grin smilie.
for me.. the only real benefit in general of bigger clients (like azureus/abc/bt++(shite and no longer in development)) over the smaller clients is that u can shut down the client then restart it and your (possibly multiple) torrents will resume without having to fanny about with opening the individual torrents again like in shadows experimental or the official client. which for users like me who feel that not having a constant 60k (or whatever connection u are on) means yer isp is stealing from u
i spose experimental or something is ok if yer a light user who only downloads a few torrents, but those are ****ing useless if uve always got something like 5 going.
some ppl may wish to take into consideration ram/cpu/hd usage.. when picking their client.. but i dont really have a shortage of any so i dont.
other than that main one (multiple torrents).. nothing on different clients stands out much except perhaps what diffferent features they have such as ability to pause torrents or change tracker details etc but those come as standard on most decent clients now.
what do u guys look for?

Guys,
You fellows seem to know a thing or two about downloading bittorrent files. I am in desperate need for some help. I have recently d/l 'd Crimson Skies(rip) for the Xbox. I am just having a problem extracting/burning it. The winrar archive is 800 Mb and once it's extracted its folder contains 2 folders of .bik files, 1 media folder, 1 cdx media folder, 31 .bin files, 22.zip files, 1 cache file, 1 tga file and an .xbe file ??? can i burn this lot onto a disc and expect it to work?? if not what do i do?
cheers

Yes burn all them files onto the root of a UDF disc (Stomp RecordNowMAX gets my vote).
A good idea before you do that though is to check it works o.k by FTP'ing it onto the Xbox Hd and running/playing it for a few mins.
