game playing

when playing the like's of freedom fighter's, mohaa. the game get's really slow when lot's of action is going on. im using a intel p4 1.7, 64m ddr nvidea card,512 pc133, 80g hdd, and a old soundblaster 64,think it's my s\card that may be slowing me down?? thanks
