Trouble wiring in a chip

I'm trying to wire an alx+r2 mod into my sons m8s xbox but the point where wire j goes on this attached link does not exist or isn't in the same place http://www.alxmod.0catch.com/diagramr2.html ive taken the board out of my sons again and it is in that one but not in his m8s, the date on the back of the box i'm trying to do is 04/09/2003 so its a nearly new one, does anyone know where wire j should go, ive tried attaching it to a couple of points near to the location but no luck as yet.
Also in the diagram on the link, above the letter j there is one hole, and then 3 more above and slightly to the right of that, on the board there are only 2 holes so the board is definately different and it isn't just me going blind

yes the D0 point is different on alot of boards, but there is another underneath of the motherboard which is the same on all versions and is alot easier to solder.
