what is best dvd disc for phillips dvd drive

I got my sisters x box chipped and a lot af the games i have which work perfectly fine on my samsung drive x box do not work on her phillips drive. What is the best type of dvd disc to copy games too that will work on the phillips drive. laser suck data bank suck and data king suck. spankyou for your help

Try any disc with ritek dye, should work no probs on it m8.

I live in australia. I can get ritek discs but are there any other brands that you can recommend. :nowords:

I've got a 1.1 Xbox with Phillips drive, and when it comes to +R's, I can only get it to accept Ricoh 4x and Verbatim 2.4x so far. On the -R side, Datawrite 4x yellow work perfectly, but that's the only one I've tried, as I've got a +R only writer.

Best thing to do m8 is just get a couple of different brands, i did the same when i had my old thompson drive, the purple bulqpaqs worked flawlessly.

the drives are pickey and what works on one drive wont automaticly work on another.

So just get like 2 discs of about 4 different brands until you find one your box likes.

Have tested DVD-R Disks in over half a dozen Philips XBox ROM's, and surprise surprise the only DVD-R disc that I found that worked 100% in all was discs that use either G03 or G04 Ritek Dye.

In my opinion Ritek Dye is by FAR the best available, and considering you can buy DataSafe 2X G03 for just over 50p a disc they are bloody excellent value!

Philips and Imation CDRW's work fine in my philips drive. Even work if the discs are non-virgin.
