banned on xbox live

Hi
a friend has got his x-box banned on x-box live.
(he has it chipped and went online with the chip enabled)
it came up with something about being modified. is there any way he can clear the EPROM to get back on x-box live ??

Yes, but u need another eprom from another xbox.Once u have this u can use config magic to change the eprom.

is the EPROM a pull out job and could I take it out of my box and use it in his and then reprogram it and use is back in mine ???
i dont have Broadband yet but when it come i would like to use xbox live.

and where can i get config magic??

I think you only need to extract the data from a NON-banned eprom and then blow that onto the banned eprom?!

so next questions where is the EPROM on the board?
how do I reprogram the EPROM?
and how do I get config magic?

Ur on ur own for config magic m8, but once u have it, u use that to re-program the eprom, u can use the backup feature on evo x to get a dump of a working eprom.
