    You can do it that way but will need an extra network card connected to the broadband to use internet connection sharing (ICS) and the PC that's connected to the net will have to be on for either PC to connect online.
    I'd look at a switching router hub instead to connect up to the BB then the 2 PCs will be networked and you'll not have to have 1 on all the time to use the net.

    That's an ADSL modem aswell so U gonna have to check with your BB provider if it's compatible.
    This is the kind of thing I had in mind h**p://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=35433

    Senario 1 - using MS Internet connection Sharing
    Its like a chain - BB MODEM->PC1->PC2
    Basically both PC's have network cards - you can connect the BroadBand to one PC via USB (if your ADSL modem is USB) and the other PC is connected to the first via the network cards making a chain. Both PC's have ICS activated in windows and your done.
    This is cheap and easy but PC1 will have to be on for PC2 to connect - this may or may not bother you.

    Senario 2
    Router

    The broadband connects to a ADSL Router, both PC's have network cards but each of them connects either directly to the router (if it has a switch built in) or to a switch (which is like a hub) and then the switch conencts to the router.

    This is more expensive as you may already have the ADSL modem so senario 1 costs almost nothing. ADSL routers are around £65 - £100 but both PC's are indepenant of each other so its a better setup.

    cheers

    Simplest soultion is to have 2 wireless network cards and share the connection. Only downside is that the computer with the internet connection needs to be on all the time. You'll get a netgear usb adapter at e-buyer for under £30 each, http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...=48544&_LOC=UK

    I'm using this set up with no problems, a pain in the ass to get it up and running, if you go with this option and need help feel free to PM me.

    regards

    Scenario 3 (a rip of of scenario 2)

    Get a router, a 4 port (can take 4 pc's) is normally sufficient, plug your BB modem into router, get an RJ-45 running from both pc's network cards and connect them to router, set-up router and you're done. You'd manage to get a router for £50ish on the net, use something like Kellkoo, it'll find you the cheapest place. You can get opinions on which routers are best on here, if need be.

    I'd go with this, keep in mind you normally get a built in firewall with most routers so you've got added protection to both PC's.
