Default XP Pro/Home Dual Boot screen

    Here's what I done:

    1. removed primary partition
    2. created primary partition
    3. formatted hard disk
    4. installed XP Pro - i remember setup saying O/S already installed, do i want to continue/replace, to which i said Yes.

    Problem:
Now I get a screen asking if I want to load XP Pro or XP Home.

Does anyone know how to stop this screen from coming up. I just want it to boot XP Pro straight away.

    Cheers

    goto tools>folder options
then set the check boxes so that you untick "Hide protected operating system files" there might be a warning that comes up. you can always change it back later.

load up boot.ini which should be on your C: drive. you might need to right click and chose properties so that it is not read only.

edit the line timeout=something so that it says timeout=0

    then save and reboot.

be careful. do not mess up this file. if you do then you can do a repair with the winxp install cd

i recommend that you change the setting in the folder optinons back to hide the files again afterwords cos then you cant accidentaly delete them and stuff.

(if you mess something up then dont blame me :oops )
