Toyota Radio Removal

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.
A friend is having troubles getting his radio out of his car, and seeing as it's a few hundred miles to go see him, I thought i'd ask here instead, seeing as Toyota won't entertain any sort of conversation.
Has anyone got any idea how to get the radio out of a toyota Corolla? He says it has 2 screws (or so it seems) coming in from both sides. He's taken the fascia off etc and can't get any further. I am guessing it's going to mean a little removal and re-fit of the dash. any ideas???
