Sky Digital TV eye?

I want to know if these work with NTL digital too? or are they just especially for 'sky digital'?

You tell the sky box to send 9v to the device through it's second RF out port. The device then sends signals back down the cable and the box sorts it.

Doubt the NTL box would be capable, but I may be wrong.
